Here you will find information along with scores, audio files, and videos chronicling my musical world from the early 1970s to the present.   Briefly I am an American composer whose career bridges the late 20th century to the 21st century.   Though I have been involved with  music in many genres and do a lot of improvisation and “playing by ear”, this site is primarily devoted to my efforts in the realm of what I think of as “written out” music; that is, notated music which is to be performed by musicians schooled in the concert music tradition, a tradition whose active repertory is now some three centuries old.  For me this is the epitome of the musical art.
